Gassan 121 - Kirchhofer

For several generations the diamond polishers at Gassan Diamonds have perfected the art of creating optimal reflection to the brilliant cut diamond. The polishers work on the symmetry of the diamonds and the immaculate finish of each of the fifty-seven facets with only one goal in mind: perfect beauty. Undoubtedly this tradition will be continued for many generations to come. However, in an effort to extract more sparkle from a brilliant cut diamond, Gassan Diamonds has recently introduced an even more breathtaking cut: the Gassan 121. This brand new cut has one hundred and twenty one facets: sixteen additional facets on the top and forty eight extra on the bottom in comparison to the traditional round brilliant cut. According to a report of the WTOCD (a department of the High Council of Diamonds in Antwerp) the placement of the additional facets strongly emphasizes the contrast between the light and dark parts of the diamond. 121 facets This makes the overall appearance of the Gassan 121 even more spectacular. Kirchhofer supports new the Swiss NPO Labdoo.org. Background of this collaboration is the assistance of children and schools around the world with laptops and IT, which are no longer used. With that Kirchhofer emphasizes it's social engagement in Switzerland and worldwide. The devices of Kirchhofer will be handed over to the Swiss hub of Labdoo.org, the local branch of a worldwide acting Non-Profit Organisation. Volunteers of Labdoo.org take care for the sanitation and refurbishment of the devices, based on Linux (Ubuntu) and hundreds of educational software packages in local language. Travellers bring the ready-to-use laptops to schools, kindergardens and orphanies around the globe. Once on-site the children, juveniles and refugees are trained by teachers to get a chance for education. With that Kirchhofer and it's devices enable capacity building and support the filling of vacancies as well as creating a socially compatible life for families and communities. Frank Geisler, President of the Board of Labdoo.org (Switzerland), is confident: "We are looking forward to the collaboration with Kirchhofer and many IT donations for the benefit of children and juveniles around the world.".
