Tennis Club Dow Europe
Description
The Tennis Club Dow Europe is run by employees of Dow Europe. The club is financed through the annual membership fees and a generous annual donation from Dow and also through its infrastructure and amenities. The Tennis Club Committee is elected every year at the Annual General Meeting. All employees on the Horgen site, their spouses / partners and children are eligible to join. For the details of membership, application and rules of the club contact the club committee.
The primary aim of the club is to encourage all employees on the Horgen site and their families to play outdoor tennis. The club also participates in Zürich area inter-company leagues, with men’s and ladies teams at various levels. The club also organizes monthly leagues throughout the season and has an annual club championship, called the President’s Cup, for singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Lessons can be arranged with the trainers. Junior training is partly sponsored by the club. The official season ends with the Presidents Cup finals and the award ceremony, followed by a party.
In addition, the club hosts several club evenings, aimed at creating an opportunity for members to play with different people and to mix socially with other Dow families. The clubhouse is open on weekends and holidays, food and beverages can be purchased from the clubhouse caterer.

Intercompany News: our Dow men's team had a successful home match on July 8 vs ZFT SIX (financial services), dropping only one point in a long and hot day. Congratulations to Stefan Boesenberg, Christian Lemke, Ismaïl Haddaoui and Tobias Drogseth for the 5:1 win!
Intercompany News: on Saturday July 1st the Dow ladies played against our tough neighbors from team Thales in Au. Team Thales was too tough to beat this weekend, but our ladies secured the one missing point for making it into the semifinals. Final result: Dow vs Thales 1:2. The Dow men's team also played on July 1st, against AXA in Winterthur, securing 2 points against a tough team. Our men almost made it to a 3:3 draw, but the last match was finally lost in a third set tiebreak. Final result: AXA vs Dow 4:2.

Intercompany News: 3rd round, same team, same result. 😊 The Dow ladies brought home another 2:1 victory, this time over Swiss Life at TC Uetliberg in Zürich. Congratulations!
Intercompany News: against all odds and with some rain delay our ladies still managed to play today's home match against TC Migros. 1:1 after the singles, the doubles brought the winning point to 2:1. Congratulations to Aude Pochon, Katja Zerr and Mandy Osterloh!

Intercompany News: in the first Intercompany match of the 2017 season the Dow ladies (Aude Pochon & Mandy Osterloh) defeat the team from Kantonalbank 3:0 at TC Sonnenberg. After snow and frost earlier this week, the weather gods were generous today. ☀️ Luckily, not a home match in the first round. The Dow courts still need a little longer to recover from the recent weather conditions...
Just a reminder... The tennis courts are open now. 🎾 ☀️🎾☀️The swimming pool is getting there... 😉
Dow Tennis Courts 3 & 4 will be open from Sunday (April 9) 12 pm. Reservations can be made via www.gotcourts.com, as usual. Please wear your old tennis shoes and take it easy on the surface. The courts are still soft. nJoy!
