We aim to increase the chances of survival of the newborn babies by providing them hand-knitted sweaters, hats, socks, blankets and "cocoons".

The squares knitted by women in different countries have now been assembled to beautiful baby blankets by women in Kabul! Isn't that wonderful! Thank you all!
Remember the squares that women in different countries were knitting in May when HOBI celebrated 5 years anniversary? Today women in Kabul have started to stitch them together to create baby blankets. How exciting! We will see next week the ready products.

Michele has made 100 hats and several wrist warmers! Beautiful! Thank you! Most hats will be sent to Afghanistan but some hats and wrist warmers will be for sale for the benefit of HOBI. If you are interested to buy one, let us know.
The shipment of knitted items made by the solidarity knitters in many countries and those made by women in Kabul have reached the Bamyan province. They were distributed at the maternity ward in the presence of provincial authorities. Thank you all!
We had a great time during the Alternatiba Festival and were able to share information about HOBI to a lot of people!
