Can anything be better than giving a book to a student? Or sweeter than the prideful feeling for helping them expand their knowledge? JTI Georgia is working with some of the country’s best students through the Scholarship project. Four times a year they meet with brilliant minds to find the next group of scholars. Nino Gvazava is among the JTI Scholars in Georgia. Courageous, as most people of her age, she strives to be the first in everything, everywhere, not to miss any opportunity that may lead to ‘success’. Nino is now part of a team of innovators who created CNICK: a ring of the future that will shortly replace dozens of cards in our wallets: badges, tickets for all performances and concerts, medical cards, financial transactions and more. ‘Participation in the JTI scholarship was really challenging. Every stage of the selection process held a unique opportunity to express myself, leading me to discover fields that I had never tried or considered before. And having these rewarding results at an early stage of my professional life is good motivation and proof that hard work always pays off’, says Nino. The Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre - the biggest cultural event of the year in Caucasus with support from JTI Georgia for the ninth year in a row - returns with all its grace! From September 18 to October 9, Tbilisi will be sizzling with exciting, magical international and Georgian theatre showcases, as well as music and entertainment for a diverse range of tastes. The most cutting edge and thought-provoking performances will come from German, Italian, Spanish, Romanian and Irish world-famous troupes. “The whole festival is a boost for the theatre. JTI Serbia’s very own Gabriela Zahan recently delivered a case study about Kaizen during the Summer Vivaldi CFO Forum at the Mokrogora School of Management, with finance professionals from all around Serbia present. Gabriela discussed Kaizen practices, the role of Kaizen for factory success and the financial benefits, as well as tips for CFOs to bring to their companies, resulting in a very lively discussion. Many participants were impressed by JTI’s journey towards efficiency and expressed their interest to visit our Senta factory during open day events.
