TwingTec is developing the next generation of mobile wind energy system using a tethered wing or Twing. Imagine generating electricity from the wind with a wing on a tether. Would you call it a drone, a plane, a kite? This is wind energy 2.0!
TwingTec is developing the next generation of mobile wind energy system, being able to harvest the strongest winds at higher altitudes in remote places to produce clean energy cheaper than fossil fuels.

We are back in Zurich after a very intense week in Dubai for The UAE Drones for Good Award. We did our best and worked hard to present the Energy Drone for the first time in public. Although we didn’t win, we can be proud of being one of the 10 finalists among the 1000+ applications, together with Avy, BioCarbon Engineering, RICS/Uninova, Skycart, Mine Kafon Foundation, Nokia, Aerial Robotics Lab/Imperial College London, 4Front Robotics and Wingcopter. It was very motivating to compete with all of you! We would also like to thank Prisme International for the organization as well as the great student team of IORTA for their help.
