GERMAN | PRIVATE LESSONS Out & About at your own pace | Fast and flexible at all levels Individual tutoring is the fastest and most efficient way to learn a new language. With the teacher’s undivided attention you can learn at your own pace and without pressure. Depending on your needs and preferences, we work either with a modern text book or with our own materials from THE BASICS class. We focus on dialogues and spoken language right from the start. The course language is standard German (Hochdeutsch). Lessons take place in public places or cafés right in the center of Basel – real life speaking opportunities are guaranteed! You are welcome to choose the date and time. Lessons during lunch break or at after work hours are available.

GERMAN | CONVERSATION Out & About Talking German | Explore Basel through Conversation Classes Have you been living in the area for a while, but you keep visiting the same places all over? If you are interested in getting to know the town like a local, get some exercise and practice your German with a native speaker all at the same time, then our Out & About Talking German Class is just for you! Our walks cover various city quarters as well as Basel’s natural surroundings. Get a glimpse of the busy Rhine ports in Kleinhüningen, enjoy a leisurely stroll in medieval St Alban or venture through vineyards across the German border, just to name a few of our destinations. As we walk, we engage you in natural conversation, no pre-set textbook dialogues, depending on your German skills. We use standard German (Hochdeutsch) and English. For newcomers with no or little German knowledge, a class with focus on the sightseeing in English is available as well. All walks are at a moderate level and suitable for any fit walker with motivation to walk for 2 – 2.5 hours regardless of the weather. Maximum of 6 people in one group. GERMAN | THE BASICS Out & About Learning German | Hands-on Language Class in everyday situations and around the coffee table. Do you have some basic knowledge of German already, but somehow find it hard to speak? If you have ever struggled learning German in the classroom or at home, then join our Out & About Learning German classes! Depending on the topic and the weather, our classes are held in locations where you need to use your German: in the supermarket, at the market, at the library and in the train station, amongst others. Every class focuses on a topic relevant to your everyday life, be it small talk, family, work, health, food, shopping or travel – you name it. En route we stop by a new café during each class to work on vocabulary and dialogues, so you get to know interesting new places all over Basel as we go along. If needed, we also cover basic aspects of German grammar that will help you express yourself. The course language is standard German (Hochdeutsch). Suitable for learners from completed level A1 and above with motivation to further improve your vocabulary at home. Maximum of 4 people in one group. You are welcome to inquire about other days or individual lessons.
