Treasurer needed! Warm congratulations to our new President, Nina Carrasco Guerbatova and our our newly elected Vice-President of Public Relations, Matthew Wright. As true as two years ago...

Committee Election The President and Treasurer positions are open for any member who would like to put themselves forward for election. In addition, we will be electing our new Vice President of Public Relations. We ask all our members to please come along to our elections at our next meeting on Wednesday, May 24th.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, 10.05. 18:45 - our AGM - please come! First half of the evening will be a compressed club meeting with speeches and Table Topics. The AGM will take place after the break. Here we will elect the new club officers and learn about the club finances. We’ll discuss how the club is doing and how we can make it better. It’s very important that you join this meeting. In order for the club to elect officers and conduct other club business, a majority of the club members must be present. Please make sure that you attend and make your voice heard!

Workshops for Communication Skills in Business and Career and chances for corporate clubs. Dear BIS members, dear fellow Division I Toastmasters - come and join us for our upcoming: Division I - Switzerland - Spring Contest 29th April 17 - Starting at 09:30 Venue: Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz, Muttenz Areas I1, I2, I3 - 11 invited clubs competing in 3 languages: English, French, German + keynote speaker and workshops!

BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our 2017 Area I2 Evaluation Contest winners: Edward Zeh (2nd) and Markus Sepällä (1st) Great work guys! And best of luck for the upcomming Division I contest on 29. April. BIS wasnt participating in this year´s I2 International Speech contest. It was won by: Julia Biwer (2nd) with an important message on why we should pay for our news! and Veronika Ehmke (1st) with an equally funny as helpful speech on how to stick to your New Year's resolutions and overcome chocolate addiction!
