Europastudier: kandidatprogram vid Lunds universitet. Europas politik, språk och historia i fokus. Vi arbetar även med projektledning och kommunikation.. Europastudier vid Språk- och Litteraturcentrum (Lunds universitet) är ett treårigt kandidatprogram som har en humanistisk profil och samtidigt ett tydlig fokus på kunskaper och färdigheter, vilka är relevanta för anställningsbarheten. Europastudier syftar till att erbjuda en innovativ och väl integrerad utbildning inom europeisk idé- och kulturhistoria, EU:s politik och ett av de europeiska språk som kan studeras vid Språk- och litteraturcentrum. Nutidsrelevanta frågor som berör nationella och etniska identiteter, kulturens betydelse inom den europeiska integrationsprocessen, Sveriges position/roll inom EU och migration inom Europa lyftas fram. Programmet inkluderar också moment som syftar till att ge kunskaper och praktiska erfarenheter inom entreprenörskap och projektledning.

International symposium: A Crisis of Democracy? Symposium How serious is the challenge to the liberal order (Krastev 2016) that has been hegemonic since the fall of the Berlin wall and the dissolution of the Soviet Union? How could the success in recent years of right- and left-wing populist parties in many parts of Europe be understood? Is it a sign of a crisis of democracy, or is this the redemptive face of democracy (Canovan 1999) showing itself in the wake of an increasing lack of trust in political and medial elites? The symposium looks into such questions, with a particular focus on the countries of Eastern and Centrral Europe. The symposium is co-arranged by the Centre for European Studies at Lund University and the Swedish Society for the Study of Russias, Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
