Follow the latest Piano News from Sweden on this site!

Great and very funny event on Glafsfjorden Festival!
It will be wonderful program at the Glafsfjordens Music Festival this year. Here we present pianists who will be official Artists and Young Artists on this festival!
Today was the day of the examinations for the piano department! Bravo to everybody! Here we want to particularly mention our new bachelor program. Each of our students had to prepare and play obligatory pieces on the exam, which this semester were a Debussy etude, a large romantic piece and a complete classical concerto. All in all approximately 50 minutes of repertoire. It is possible to do long examinations like these at Ingesund because we take a maximum of 2 pianists each year and therefore we can take very good care of them. It opens the possibility for each of them to get a lot of necessary attention in order to get to an international level. Next semester on the exam there will be an obligatory romantic concerto, a large work of the 20th century and a modern etude. Tchaykovsky 1 + Prokofjev 8th sonata kind of program. Will be fun! On the picture is Sten Ulloa Carler performing a Mozart concerto with Tony Nguyen.
Best greetings from Brussels from Julia Mustonen-Dahlkvist! It was an amazing trip where I had a pleasure to meet so great people and pianists. I had 2 days of masterclasses here and got more than warm reception from everybody! Thanks to Eliane Reyes for a very good organization for this event! It was a true joy. The city of Brussels is actually also a very fantastic place to be. On the pictures you can see the part of masterclasses, photos from the conservatory and few images from the city!
The application period for our artistic bachelor program is now open! Deadline 15/01/2018. The entrance exam is very early this time - 22nd of February. This program is specially designed for pianists who have big plans for the future and plan to work hard, already on the bachelor level. Our goal is to put you on the international stage! Besides regular lessons and performance training in form of group lessons with your professor, everybody will have lessons with a special technique/ergomony teacher and you will also have extra lessons for sight reading, accompanying and chamber music. All lessons, also lessons with your main professor are possible to extend and even double by applying to independent courses. We have the absolutely best practicing and recording facilities. A peaceful location will give you a lot of time and space to truly focus on your development as a pianist during your stay here at Ingesund, although the intensity of this program including all of our international projects is very high. For citizens and permanent residents of EU and Nordic countries this education is free. You are welcome with your application!
