Had a great day at Sporting Örebro yesterday. Stephan had organized a great event with great people, as always. Lot's of interest in custom reels and reel tuning. I also got to meet a living legend and great inspiration, Larry Dahlberg! Truly awesome guy and one of the best, most knowledgeable sport fishermen out there. Larry gave me a hat for some extra inspiration, reminding me not to forget my lure making. The first customer order of the clicking-drag-mod is now assembled! This Ambassadeur Predator also received some new ball bearings, a lighter line guide and a ceramic pawl. Hopefully the owner, @cabjohn and his team @fiskebrodersoder, will catch a lot of pike with this lovely sounding reel. This Friday continues to deliver! This little piece of JDM goodness arrived in the magic mailbox today. A Daiwa Emeraldas 2506! A reel designed for eging (squid fishing) in Japan. Since it's built for saltwater fishing with light lines and lures, it should be perfect for perch fishing in the brackish waters of the Stockholm archipelago. It's almost impossible to capture the holographic colour on camera, but I think you get the idea. Since I haven't fished a spinning reel for years, I need a suitable rod, preferably colour matched. The Tatula tuning continues with this beauty of a spool that arrived yesterday. Super excited about the new clicking drag-mod I'm currently trying out. Here you see, and hear, it installed in my own Daiwa Tatula Type-R. This mod is available for a number of reel models, including classic Ambassadeur, Revo gen 1-3, Toro/Big Shooter, Shimano Curado, Chronarch, Aldebaran, Daiwa Tatula, Zillion, Steez, Luna and many more. A Calcutta 201D that has been in the shop for some tuning and also a new star drag and mechanical brake cap from Avail as well as a line guide from a Calcutta Ocea. A vast improvement over the stock look if you ask me.
