Hi five! To all the u/9 rugby players for a great season. Thank you, for your courage to play the game of rugby and your determination to become better players. I look forward to the next season hopefully we can field more than one team, in 2018. You have all grown, into fine young rugby players. You have made me, Coach Lynton and Coach Palmer, proud to be your coaches. Thank you, to the parents for also encouraging your kids to hang in there, when we are winning or loosing. Thank you, for those days that you have to wake up early and take off work to watch your kids play and to bring them to their practices and their games. We really appreciate this. None of this would be possible if we didn't have the parents commitment. THANK YOU! One last thank you to Mr Hatting for organizing and managing these fixtures for us. THANK YOU!

Prefects' Induction Twelve Grade 11 learners were inducted as prefects for 2018. The incoming prefects signed in and agreed to the "Prefects' Promise". An exciting year lies ahead for these young leaders. Congratulations.
It was a sad day for these 15 matric learners as they signed over their duties as prefects. At the Prefect Induction, they were thanked for their hard work and commitment to the school. They have been an upstanding group of young learners and SHS is proud to have had them in leadership positions.
Likho Sibawe (headgirl) presents Mrs Louw with a card and gift on behalf of the high school students to express their gratitude to her for teaching them in Ms van der Westhuizen’s absence. Mrs Louw taught Afrikaans and SS for a term in the high school and this gift is testament to her dedication and hard work. “Caring teachers are among our nations’ greatest treasures; they are entrusted with its future.”
SHS SUPPORTS THE SPCA Mrs Greyling (Grade 3) has again been asked to raise funds for the SPCA and the school will be hosting a civvies day and pupils and teachers alike, have been asked to dress up according to the theme: DENIM and SHADES. Today the Grade 12s and some teachers got into the spirit and in front of the entire school modelled their DENIM and SHADES. This photo shows some of the teachers who are 100% behind this fundraising initiative.
