The 2009 De Trafford Syrah 393 tasting notes suggest the following pairing: "Best with a thick chunk of steak on the braai". I think my home ground chuck-blade-shortrib burgers are close enough 😜

Tonight we are drinking a bit of (personal) history. This is one of the first De Trafford wines I bought. Since then this winery had become my favorite! It's delicious and was worth hanging onto all these years.
