Tired of city life? Take a well deserved brake on this beautiful tranquil farm. Bring your family and mountain bikes along and come and enjoy the great outdoors and fresh air,  only 180 km from Gauteng, (28km from Frankfort and 20 km from Tweeling) in the picturesque Eastern Free-state.  
Kasteelkop Guest farm is a commercial farm, breeding Bonsmara Cattle and Endurance horses. The owner’s lovingly restored this 100 year old Sandstone farm house to its former glory, turning it into a luxury four star, self-catering guest house. Giving guests the opportunity to experience farm living.
It is a nature lover’s paradise and is very secluded, blessed with the most amazing views over the valley from the spacious stoep . The birdlife is spectacular with Secretary Birds, Blue crane and Bald Ibis. The Bald Ibis breed at the waterfall situated on the farm. We guarantee  a sighting as they roost here every night.
You are also welcome to swim at the waterfall. We are birding friendly and many grassland birds species occur on the farm.
The farm has 4 km of river frontage on the Wilge River and is ideal for fishing.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a Victorian bath and basin. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and the 3rd bedroom has a double bed with a couch where a child can sleep. There is also a double sleeper couch. Guest can bring their own Dstv or Pvr decoder as not to miss the rugby. Make sure you bring everything you need along as the shops are far off.

We also have a campsite close to the house with ablutions, tap , electric point and braai.
Small groups are also welcome to camp, we have a kitchen and and a old barn they can use.
