The Elgin Chardonnay Colloquium will be taking place on 6th and 7th October, celebrating Wines of Elgin’s unique cool climate Chardonnays under this year's theme "Seriously Cool” We are proud to be participating along with 16 of Elgin’s finest Chardonnay producers at this 2nd annual event. Highlights of this year's enviable two-day programme include an international benchmark tasting conducted by Jamie Goode and Michael Fridjhon, and a dinner hosted at the Houw Hoek Hotel on Friday evening, plus a choice of six incredible lunch events on Saturday, 7th October. Details about our lunch with IONA, PAUL WALLACE WINES and TOKARA are as follows: Join us at Iona where the Elgin experience will continue. Be amongst the first to sip Tokara's newest offering – their Elgin Chardonnay MCC, which has spent 5 years on the lees, paired with oysters to die for. A leisurely luncheon prepared by Rozy and Nicky will follow, accompanied by a selection of international wines from our private cellars and a scintillating selection of some of the finest offerings from the Highlands trio. Not only will we taste some more iconic Chardonnays, but possibly even enjoy a sneak preview from the 2017 barrels. There will be a selection of some mighty fine Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Malbec and Noble Late Harvest wines.
