Our peppadews and jalapeno chillies are monsters! Every morning another batch! We will have to do a Mexican-Eastern Cape Fusion Evening!

Brilliant team, exceptional, professional and on the ball to the very last detail! The few events that Appetito had been involved with LineOut were huge successes thanks to this fantastic team’s non-stop efforts.

Busy busy week at Appetito! There were lunches and a West Coast Seafood Table to go with interesting SA white wines. Then a Bat Mitzvah. Then Lawrence and Karen’s wedding at Lavender Blue and finally up at the crack of dawn to feed the volunteers at Ironman. Then it was a very welcome off-to-bed!

We are so ready for this year! Looking forward to jammin’ food with amazing people, making friends, connections, just sharing life....

One of the great things of traveling is that you get to pick up all this amazing produce at farm stalls along the way. And the the fun starts putting it all together!

Ok, so last night’s menu had Umfino on, amongst other things. The recipe I Googled. And then tweaked. And to put you in the picture, I am a ‘Capie’ from the West Coast - so snoek and crayfish and homemade brown bread with grape jam are what I know. Umfino is not part of my repertoire. So the following photos tell a thousand stories....

Aaaah.....food, people, a pretty picture or a moment waiting to be captured. We at Appetito believe in finding the small blessings, we see in technicolour, we enjoy serendipitous moments ... and we are hyperactive. That’s just how we roll. Life’s a gift.

Never a dull moment here! In between having the most amazing people cooking up storms in our kitchen almost every night, we did some canapés for the launch of the new Range Rover Velar, had special picnics, shopped, cooked, baked, and been just generally productive and happy!

Fabulosity reigns @ Appetito, thanks to awesome, great guests jammin’ to the beat of clattering pots and pans. And thanks to clients giving us carte blanche to do our thang when catering for them!

We really love what we do.... peops and food. We are so lucky!

We keep ourselves occupied.... with amazing ingredients and even more amazing people jammin’ food in our kitchen!
