Today marks a sad day in the Matroosberg History. Andrew Johns, your life will always, have ended with us. Jessica will always remember this and she would never ever have a feeling of love towards us. Sarah, never had the opportunity to see, where you life was lost. But we at Matroosberg, we pray that things are going real well for you and mommy. We trust that happiness walked into your lives and that you want it now, as God gave it to you. You deserve happiness, you deserve love and peace and you deserve most of all, to live your lives at the fullest. Take responsibility for the part you were left behind to finish. Andrew is out there on every kite... believe that what you are doing now, is what he would have chosen for you. After 10 years, you are still our best reminder on how fast any bodies lives could change and that we should be ready. Andrew you left a legacy behind.

Solitaire Mountain Cabin close to the Rock pools, is now available as guest accommodation. This cabin is secluded in the most beautiful kloofie, with most amazing Crystal pools, which are wonderful to dip into, during the warm summer months. Can sleep up to 8 people, no electricity, but everything else you might need. Book at info@matroosberg.com or 023 312 2282. Until futher notice, guests would need 4x4 vehicle to reach this wonderful destination.

Seems likely that we will see snow fall at reception on Sunday morning between 6 and 8am, therefor our offices will open at 7am. There is a entrance fee paybale to enter the Private Reserve, of R50 pp for adults and R30 kids 3-13. We now also sport a Real Time webcam at reception and on the 4x4 trail.
