Kendov Dvorec Relais & Châteaux, a perfect place to discover authentic cuisine and explore the best of Slovenia. Pretty 11-room Relais & Châteaux Hotel Kendov dvorec is in a 14th-century manor house on a tranquil hillside overlooking a steep valley and river, near the lovely 860-year-old village of Spodnja Idrija. Individually decorated rooms and suite, named for members of the manor’s founding family, contain 19th-century antiques, a mix of cozy chairs and sofas, paintings, ornate carved beds, oak floors and ample windows. Handmade Idrija lace decorates tablecloths, curtains and bed linen. Hotel Kendov dvorec has a handsome dining room with beamed ceiling that features delicious local fare, as well as a good selection of fine regional wines. Activities include fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and skiing.

BEST FROM THE LOCAL AREA 🍗 Fresh meat and delicious air dried meat products are supplied to Relais & Châteaux Kendov Dvorec from a family owned butchery in Ceplez, a tiny village in the hills, just a few kilometres away from our hotel. Miha Podobnik belongs to the fourth generation of butchers in the family, who were rewarded many times for the high quality organic meat. The buchery was visited by Franci Pivk, chef at Kendov Dvorec.
