Only 4 years old but already full of passion for fishing - young angler from the USA landed 4 lake Trout like this fishing on the lake Bled few days ago! Got few baits from Fauna fly shop, got Father`s guidance, small spinning rod and here he goes - landing Lake Trout! Great fishing future ahead of him! well done Kiddo!!!

Latest water level status of the Sava Bohinjka river sector Institutte and Bled

Warmer weather improving the fly fishing conditions on the #SavaBohinjka river on a daily basis! Trout came out of the winter hiding places and is in pursuit for the food - which at the moment are nymphs and small streamers.. typical flies which one needs to have on the early days of the season.. But not to leave other rivers in the shadow - and only mentioning the Sava Bohinjka; the images was taken on the #Radovna river which is often a hiding place for some lovely Trout - and a lovely anglers too :-D well done Kerry!!

Into the new Fly fishing week we go with fresh fallen snow in the valley of the Radovna river! Many sad faces I can feel on the other side of the line - but it`s the game we dedicated to play.. and the mother nature many time plays against us ;-) the week March 19-24 will be cold but more or less dry and with clear water of the Radovna river. Big Sava remaining murky and fishable more or less only with streamers. stay tuned.. be back soon..

Fauna Fly Fishing Sloveniastaff visiting the so called BIG SAVA river area to see what the hack can be expected down there with this snowing situation that Slovenia is facing right now! Well - we declare river to be fishable - but the banks are declared - snow covered! :-D For this luxury conditions, fishing permits will not be more expensive. It seems a good deal: you pay the fishing and get the snow included for free! haha.. let us stay positive :-)

February 14th - The very last Huchen fishing day of the 2017-2018 fishing season still echoes! Several Huchen fishing Teams tried their very last lucky casts on all 3 fishing areas of the Sava and Sava Bohinjka river. As usual with the Hucho fishing - many failed to get the strike. But not all! The lucky man on the main image, arrived to Slovenia from Paris to try his luck and prove the skills.. While few of the first fishing days went off in vain - hope and focus of the angler and the Guide remained! And as already proven in the past years - DO NOT GIVE UP until the very last minute of the very last day if fishing for the Hucho; 20 minutes before the ending fishing time on the ending season`s fishing day - the rod bend down and land this beautiful lady Hucho of 97cm! What to say? Hat down to the Angler, Guide and the Man above holding the Hucho away from the bait till the very last minute - just to increase the drama haha! Ein kurzer reviw eines Hucho-Angeltages auf dem Fluss Sava Bohinjka - Slowenien. Manchmal endet die Tour mit einem Fang, manchmal mit einem fantastischen Tag auf dem Fluss. Auf jeden Fall - Zufriedenheit garantiert! Guter Fang für alle Huchenangler!

No rest for the wicked!! With the coming snow wave visiting Slovenia and Sava Bohinjka river tomorrow, the Huchen activity in the river increasing! Full moon shining this night affecting the anglers and more important - the Huchos! Some thing just had to happen! And it did :-D

Another 21 days remaining before the 2017/2018 Huchen fishing season closes down! River conditions are good, no snow enable easy walking and more of the Sava Bohinjka terrain can be covered! Last teams are already assembling up and will try to beat or equal the catches of their predecessing groups! Gooooo :-D
