Active Summer Winter holidays Kola Peninsula Russian Lapland Murmansk

Saturday 6th of August 2016 we visited Pomor village Kuzreka to participate on the Festival of Kuzulya (goat bread figures) with a group of Students. Folk groups from all over Kola Peninsula gave performances and locals showed their home made souvenirs and products. Thanks to the good weather the Festival had many visitors and everybody was satisfied. This is one of the many spontaneously organised excursions on Kola Peninsula. Just ask and we perform! See more excursions on http://kolatravel.com For videos we suggest to visit our youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/kolatravel

Polar Bird Watching on Kola Peninsula: taiga and tundra birds of Murmansk region

This season 2016 we had 2 bird watching tours in the middle of Kola Peninsula. The bird of the year 2016 is the "Parrot Crossbill". They are similar as Crossbills, but the bill is bigger and length and height are equal. Also the under bill is not passing the upper bill (see photo, not so sharp but anyway…….). Enjoy! http://kolatravel.com/ktbw03.htm

你好! Ni hao. Kola Travel goes China. We were participating on the Visit Russia stand at the Beijing International Tourism Exhibition. After that we visited Shanghai, Fuzhuo, Ningde, Guilin and Yangshuo. Very interesting country, building cities and (rail)roads to be ready for the future, friendly people, nice kitchen and very warm in Summer. Now back in office and cooling down a bit.
