Founded in 1979 under the name Aerocondor we have trained thousands of pilots and other flight personnel that now serve in all major airline companies.
In 2001, Aerocondor became part of Gestair Group and expanded its knowledge and business core to a changing point, seizing the opportunity to grow worldwide.
In 2013 we became a member of G Air Group, with a higher ambition and a stronger passion to take the skies and help develop a new generation of pilots, offering training excellence and top class facilities within a multicultural environment.
We have established strong partnerships with some of the main worldwide players in aviation, making us Approved Training Providers for Jeppesen Boeing and AgustaWestland.
We have invested in building the largest training centre in the world with a 1.800 meter runway, dedicated ILS (Instrument Landing System) with over 260.000 sq. ft. Located near Lisbon and with more than 300 sunny days a year it guarantees the perfect fusion between Training, Nature and Culture.
Our goal is to offer the best environment to train the best pilots.

Today we welcomed Class ATPL 03/18 to the European Academy with a Peddy-Paper around Ponte de Sor, the first of its kind that we've ever organized. For this activity, our students had to interact with the locals in order to find the answers to a quizz related with their new home, which also had a few challenges to complete, such as: - Estimate how many corks does the Cork Mosaic from the Arts and Cultural Centre have (the answer was 400.000); - Take a group picture next to the courts with Padel equipment (our students had to ask the locals for borrowed rackets); - Convince the owner of Indiferente Bar to pay you a non-alcoholic beverage (Nailed it!); Head to our Instagram account to find plenty of Stories from today. This weekend we held our annual Dutch Open Day in Portugal, where more than 30 guests had the opportunity of visiting our school and the city capital of Lisbon. We wish you all a pleasant trip back home and hope to see you again soon. Thanks for coming!
Happy International Women's Day! Did you know that the first portuguese woman to become a TAP Air Portugal pilot was formed by our school? Teresa Carvalho was the first woman to be admitted as a TAP Air Portugal pilot. She attended the ab-initio course in 1988 and throughout her career flew in several aircrafts, eventually becoming an Airbus A320 family Captain in 2001.
Inspiration to pursue a career as a pilot can come from many avenues, some are closer to home than others.
