Simulation Workshop with Dr. Catalan

As part of our 20th year celebration of being a PBA-accredited Residency Training Program, dubbed as "CLMMRH Anesthesiology: Accepting the Challenge of Training Tomorrow's Anesthesiologists," we conducted an Anesthesia Crisis Management Simulation Workshop last Feb. 19, 2016 with Dr. Grace Catalan of PGH and METIman (Emergency Care Simulator). "Simulation as a learning technique will be the future in training residents as it allows learners to make errors and to learn from those errors without harming patients. Simulation trains skills of dynamic decision making, resource management, leadership and teamwork applicable to challenging situations that may not be achievable in our traditional methods of teaching/learning."
