Yesterday NIU received the award «Product of the Year» by the The Federation of Norwegian Industries at the annual Design Industry Conference at Doga! The jury states: «The NIU sofa by Hallgeir Homstvedt is a comfortable sofa that with only a small number of modules can be built into a number of varieties to meet the markets need for individual furnishing. The sofa has a contemporary aesthetics and combines the generous and comfy with a precise and light expression. The sofa is believed to have a great commercial potential.» Thank you!

Great to watch the Norwegian TV show "Superoppusserne" this week and to see how the interior architect Linda Steen at Scenario focusing on Norwegian design! In cooperation with our Oslo dealer Pur Norsk they have chosen to use all-Norwegian furniture, among them our TED sofa, KAVAI chair, BOY pouf and SOL stool.

Among Norway's top 100 design projects from the past 100 years, you'll find both our UGO sofa and SIESTA chair. The Award Design 100 is an initiative by A-magasinet in cooperation with Design og arkitektur Norge. UGO sofa was designed by Norway Says in 2003 while the SIESTA chair was designed by Ingmar Relling back in 1965.
