Call Tayo 08090969849 WHY DID WE START A SWIM SCHOOL : THE STORY BEHIND CRAWFORD There is a popular saying in Ogun state that descendants of Ijebu land do not go swimming. My swimming story started when I got admission into the University of Ibadan to study mathematics. I was never a sports enthusiast, was never chosen for football matches, never a short or long distance runner, but had always been the point man for my school when it comes to debates and quiz competitions. In short, I was a nerd. The University of Ibadan swimming pool was the first large body of water I ever found myself in. A couple of friends had cajoled me to follow them to the swimming pool during a nationwide Senior Lecturers strike in my 200Level. I saw the humongous pool and the large number of fun seekers there and I was totally fascinated. I got hooked from day 1. I learnt to swim… joined the University swimming team; became so good that in my 300 Level, I was already the University’s number 1 Breaststroke swimmer. I was unbeaten till I graduated from the school. I attended the Nigerian University Games and the West African University Games. Growing up through the years in secondary school and the University, I had always known I had a gifting of finding every possible way to explain a difficult subject or course in the easiest way possible. It dawned on me that I was a gifted teacher. I started teaching swimming in the University and ever since I started working I was constantly teaching swimming every evening after work and on weekends. I had worked with Strategy Safari, Agusto &Co, Stanbic Bank (Before the mergers), RenCap, BankPHB, Cordros Capital and my last employment was with the Nigerian Export-Import Bank. While working at all these companies, I always taught swimming at the evenings and weekends. The passion to demystify swimming for another human to learn effortlessly was the major driver and it brings in some good funds. The drive to really commercialize the swimming lessons to offer the classes to a larger number

The uniqueness of my business was one of the reason why I was awarded the YOUWIN Grant (Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria) from the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Finance Incorporated. I built the Crawford Swimming World into a world class swimming school where adult and children learn to swim effortlessly in Lagos and Abuja. Welcome to Crawford….Welcome to Swimming Made Easy
