facebook.comWith arms across his chest. Tom helplessly watched as the undertakers lowered his Father's corpse in a golden casket into the grave. Gradually, the reality of his father's death began to dawn on him. In retrospect, he pictured his Father's ocean of wealth: the fleet of exotic cars that decorated his garage, his numerous estates littered all over the country, his fat bank account, the multinational companies he owned, his academic and honorary certificates, and plaques of numerous awards begging for space in his enormous sitting room. In fact, describing Honourable Richmond as a multimillionaire was an understatement. As Tom pondered on these things, tears bathed his cheeks. It wasn't just his father's death that grieved him, but the fact that despite his seemingly endless wealth,he left this world empty handed. There in the casket he lay, lifelessly wrapped in it like an unknown pauper, not even the least of his wealth went down to the grave with him. He clearly and regretfully parted ways with all his riches and fame at the gate of his grave. He had lived all his life amassing wealth; only a few days to his demise did he reveal to Tom that having come to the peak of his achievements,he would want to settle down and enjoy his many years of labour. But alas, death came knocking at his door. He went to bed at night and never woke up again. "Is this what life is all about?" Tom asked rhetorically, with hot tears streaking down his cheeks. Friend, do you know that everything on earth will soon melt away like an ice? The Bible says that a day will come when " the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also shall be burned up"(2 Peter 3:10). There is nothing you see, touch, or feel in this world that abides forever ; everything like a fleeting shadow will fade away. Many wealthy people have lived and gone; many wise fellows, many renowned scholars and professionals in various disciplines with outstanding feats have lived and died, but they never took anything with them from this vain world. Perhaps like Tom, you have witnessed a couple of burials and seen for yourself how people who were full of life irresistibly surrendered to death, and were buried empty handed just as they came into thus world. Such is the end of every man. Think for a moment! Have you ever seen the dead take anything with them to the grave? The infallible word of God confirms the situation of man after death that "As he came from his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour which he may carry away in his hand... and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind (Ecclesiastics 5:15,16).Indeed everyone, whether rich or poor, small or great, educated or illiterate, young or old, must go to the grave the way they were born naked. As soon as you take your last breath, everything in this world fades out of your memory. You become cold, still and lifeless like a stone,, waiting for the decaying of the earth. Life is nothing but vanity according to Ecclesiastes 12:8 Remember, however, that there is life after death! Life doesn't end on earth; Death is only a passage to a new beginning, and this new beginning has no end; It is called eternity. Your soul lives on forever after you die because it's a never dying soul. Everyone must spend eternity either in Heaven or hell. Heaven is God's abode where only those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and saviour and live in holiness till death will live eternally, while Hell is a place of everlasting torment and anguish for all sinners irrespective of their social status while on earth. If you live without inviting Jesus into your heart, then you have a wasted life, for a life without Jesus is eternally lost and doomed forever. All the things of this life you had been busy pursuing to the detriment of your soul will pass away like a useless vapour, and you would be left with the stark reality of a hopeless, unspeakably tragic eternity in hell " where their worms dieth not and the fire is not quenched"( Mark 9:44) How are you been living your life? Where do your really desire to spend your eternity?, the choice is yours! How you live will determine where you will spend eternity. Surrender your life to Jesus today and live the rest of your life for Him, so you can live in endless bliss with God for all eternity. Don't procrastinate, because you can't tell when you will die. Death is an appointment for everyone------ whether rich or poor; for " It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement "(Hebrews 9:27). So repent today, for tomorrow may never be. GOD BLESS YOU!

I have a word for that teenager who wants to end it all because you failed an examination. Don't let the Devil cheat you of your glorius future because if you're patient enough and more studious, you will bag a PhD in that very course.Don't waste your life because that life is not yours, you were only entrusted with it and you'll someday account for that life. All those you commit suicide are doomed for Hell, please don't end your life in Hell cuz it's worse in Hell than what you want to die for and the torture is eternal.
