It later became a fully owned subsidiary of the bank with the registered name - First Registrars Nigeria Limited.

Consequently upon the resolution passed at the Court-Ordered-Meeting of the Bank in December 2012, First Bank divested its entire holdings in First Registrars and a couple of other subsidiaries in line with CBN directives leading to the re-positioning of First Registrars into a privately held company.
