West African Bioethics Training Program
Description
West African Bioethics Training Program is a program for teaching, service and research in International Bioethics. It is unique because it uses the opportunity afforded by its location in West Africa to research and train Bioethics in English and French. West African Bioethics Training Program is funded by the United States National Institutes of Health through the Fogarty International Center to provide training and support for the development of international research bioethics in West Africa. To date, West African Bioethics has conducted training for up to 5,000 bio-medical researchers in Nigeria and other West African countries in other to increase their awareness of bioethics and informed consent issues in research.
