facebook.comWHARC in collaboration with University of Ottawa, Canada presents quality child delivery essentials (beddings and mother delivery kits) to the Primary Healthcare Centres in Okpekepe and Ebelle Community, Etsako East Local Government Area, Edo state. This is part of the interventions from the International Development Research Centre, Canada (IDRC) sponsored implementation research project aimed at increasing access to skilled pregnancy care in rural communities.
Towards increasing access to skilled pregnancy care in rural communities, WHARC/IDRC Research team conducted a baseline survey in the Primary Healthcare Centres in Okpekpe and Ebelle community, Etsako East Local Government Area, Edo state, Nigeria.
Women's Health and Action Research Centre with funding from World Health Organisation (WHO) has organised a training workshop for representatives from the Medical Record department of the Central Hospital Benin City, Edo state and Central Hospital Minna, Niger State on the use of MedicMinder- a Computerized Antenatal Appointment system. The Antenatal Appointment Software was developed to reduce the waiting period by pregnant women during Antenatal visits.

In their local dialects, women and families at Ewatto community, Esan South-East Local government area, Edo State were educated on the importance of using Primary Healthcare Centres for pregnancy care.
