Description
The Nigerian Navy Hydrographic Office (NNHO) is the Coordinating centre of the Nigerian Navy Hydrographic Department. The Nigerian Navy Hydrographic Office (NNHO) is the Coordinating centre of the Nigerian Navy Hydrographic Department. It is charged with the responsibility of performing the Nigerian Navy statutory role of Hydrographic Surveying and nautical charting of Nigerian waters. In carrying out its statutory role, the NNHO has been actively involved in a number of activities; some of this include production of Nautical Publication (Tide tables, Notices to Mariners etc), Hydrographic survey for the production of Nautical Charts and Survey monitoring across the nation’s coastal area.
The Office also cooperate with other maritime stakeholders both locally and internationally to achieve her objective. Some of these stakeholders includes: Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Nigerian Hydrographic Society (NHS), Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGOF), East Atlantic Hydrographic Commission (EAtHC) and International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO) among others.
