Tonight the Sky Tower will be lit up like a beating heart for Heart Kids Annual Appeal. Every week, 12 babies are born with a congenital heart defect in NZ, and every year 1000 children will visit Auckland’s Paediatric Heart Unit for treatment.

On Saturday 6 May, the Sky Tower played host to 10 die hard The Blues supporters. This awesome prize included dinner at Andy's Burgers & Bar with some of the Blues players, ice cream and cheese platters from the Sky Café and then a private screening of the game up on the Sky Tower’s highest observation level – the Sky Deck! How cool is that?! Here are some photos of their night! :-)

Tonight until Saturday, we've lit the Sky Tower red in support of the 900 firefighters taking part in the Firefighter Sky Tower Stair Challenge this Saturday! We are so excited to announce that we have passed the $1 million mark in fundraising efforts! Thank you to everyone who has given generously to Leukemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand so far!

This Saturday the Sky Tower welcomes hundreds of firefighters from all over the world to take part in the annual Firefighter Sky Tower Stair Challenge, each participant has to carry 25kg of kit all whilst climbing the 1103 stairs to the top! From the 20-25 April the Sky Tower will be lit with a red top and a giant 13-metre poppy emblem will be projected onto the south-east side of the Sky Tower to commemorate ANZAC Day. The poppy emblem will be visible to attendees at the Anzac Day dawn service at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. Lest we forget.

Six teams will compete in a military challenge to retrieve a flag from the highest point of the Sky Tower to raise funds for the RSA’s annual poppy appeal. New Zealand’s defence personnel and emergency response services will go head to head in the challenge, taking place today, 20 April 2017 from 2pm. Teams will be representing the Royal New Zealand Navy, New Zealand Army, Royal New Zealand Air Force, New Zealand Defence Force Veterans, St John and the SKYCITY Rigging Team. Come watch and donate!
