QL was invited to visit the Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei in Friedrichshafen. An impressive tour with COO Michael Schieske and Marketing & PR Manager Andrea Fischer. The Zeppelin Reederei offered Het AmsterdamDiner (Aids Foundation) two Zeppelin flights in combination with a gala diner and stay in Romantik Hotel Residenz am See and a private tour in the Pfahlbau Museum by Prof. Dr. Gunter Schöbel for their auction at the yearly fundraising diner at June 4. QL Press Party at Residenz am See at Lake Contance The hospitable Manfred & Susanne Lang organized a very special garden party at their great Romantik Hotel Residenz am See (Meersburg, Germany). The Lang family invited South German newspapers and some special relations to celebrate their QL membership. QL's founder Hein van Beek and his spouse Laurine travelled 750 kilometers to join. In the garden, with Lake Contance (Bodensee) view, Hein introduced QL Hotels & Restaurants to this prominent audience. Castle with the most beautiful terrace in the Utrecht province Early twentieth century Esquire Egbert Lintelo de Geer initiated the building of the splendid Castle Kerckebosch in the woodland surrounding the town of Zeist. To create castle Kerckebosch’s unique style he collected bits and pieces from restored churches and castles in the vicinity. Two antique doors with a cast iron knocker in castle Kerckebosch originated in the cathedral of Utrecht. The open fireplace in the Kerckebosch conservatory came from a stately 18th century Amsterdam canal house. During recent refurbishments of the hotel and its two restaurants, Ingmar Sloothaak and Chef Hans van Triest stylishly merged the original interior with contemporary elements. From the authentic castle guest rooms you will enjoy stunning views over the surrounding woodland. The magnificent Tower Suite boasts a grand four poster bed decorated with delicate wood carvings. Walking through the French doors of the cosy lounge with open fireplace you gain access to Castle Kerckebosch’s wonderful terrace.
