Dear youth ultimate players, dear coaches and representatives, As announced, there will be several EYUCamps held over the summer of 2018. Here you get the first info on these camps. The Ultimate Culture Camps are directed at all ultimate playing juniors, of all playing levels. An EYUCamp will typically last four days, filled with ultimate drills, but also plenty of time for social activities. The camp will end with a HAT tournament of the participants. Additionally at some locations there will be an EYUCup tournament for national youth teams before or after the camp. Important : The EYUCamps are directed at all youth players, not only those we see every year in the national youth teams. You do need some ulti experience to participate, but do not need to be a national youth team player. The experience for the participating kids will be a lot of ultimate, but also an international meeting. We are aiming to have both the participants and also the coaches from a mix of nations at each camp. Coaching and interaction will happen mainly in English. So a camp shall be a time filled with international action, friendship, and SOTG. All in a setting of high level ultimate learning, thus a perfect summer holiday ! The planned EYUCamps 2018 are : (no date yet): Denmark July 5-8: Maribor (Slovenia) July 9-13: Riga (Latvia; city of Ogre) July13-15 (or 6-8, to be decided): Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine) July 19-22: Poznan (Poland) July 24-31: Heidelberg (Germany) August 5-11: Cesenatico (Italy, on the beach) (no date yet): Montenegro (also on beach). Also, there is a "Future Cup" planned in France, for youth national teams. Currently they are trying to resolve a date conflict, but that will be defined this months. As you can see we received more bids from Central and Eastern Europe. But as the camps are planned as international meeting, we will make sure that a good number of spots is reserved for players from foreign countries. Regardless where you live, you can sign up for any camp. So you can start making your summer travel plans ! The camps in Heidelberg and Cesenatico are expected to be the biggest in size. They will also include a tournament for national youth teams (EYUCup); national players may attend both the camp and the EYUCup tournament. The general age group is "Under 18". In some regions, there may be different age limits, especially in areas where there are only few young players. Registration will open in mid March. Keep an eye on the central page, where soon you can find the individual EYUCamps websites with more detail. Already 3 bids, here in summary : GERMANY - Heidelberg ( near Frankfurt ) Wed 25 to Tue 31 July - optional National Youth Teams tourney in the weekend ITALY - Cesenatico ( near Rimini ) Sun 5 to Sat 11 August or Sun 2 till Sat 11 September (beach) - optional National Youth Teams tourney at the end ENGLAND - Swindon ( between Bristol and Reading ) Sun 12 to Sat 18 August - besides ultimate also canoeing, abseiling, etc Although not everything is set yet, if you are interested you can already mark your calendars !
