Studio Gionata Gatto
Description
Design Studio based in the Netherlands Gionata Gatto (Italy, 1982) is a Designer and PhD candidate, currently working from Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
His approach to design is firmly connected to the objective of questioning the significance of daily-life products, resulting in narrative investigations related to production processes, materials, artifacts and services.
The projects of the studio - often perceived by the public as evocative tools and proponents of engagement and dialogues - are initiated in several ways, including commissions from Design Companies and Labels, self-initiated projects or collaborations with public-private partners.
The work of the studio has been exhibited in galleries and events worldwide, including Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Triennale di Milano, Maison & Objet, Sotheby's, Tijdelijk Museum and others.
Since 2014 Gionata lectures Future Thinking & Products at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam (NL).
