Description
BUROPONY is an idea-driven graphic design collaboration based in Rotterdam. BUROPONY is formed by Ties Alfrink and Hugo de Pagter. In early 2009, after having gained experience as designers at Categorie 1, Studio Dumbar (Ties), Nike and Vijf890 (Hugo) we felt the need to set up our own shop.
We love a good concept and like ideas that are based on proper research and form that is chosen for a reason. We try to steer away from trends and come up with a design that communicates ideas in a clear and unique way. In our work we try to look beyond the borders of graphic design. In doing this, we like to merge different disciplines, make them react on, or supplement each other. We like the smell of a screen print shop, the ratata sound of an almost extinct matrix printer and are interested in the possibilities that new technology brings.
As BUROPONY we work closely with people from different disciplines such as motion design, photography, copy writing and interaction design. In doing so, we are able to create full visual identities, logos, posters, books, web designs, print graphics and anything we haven’t tried yet…
