Busy times at Rhenus Deep Sea Terminal As you can see on this picture, our RDST terminal is in full operation. It shows a complete occupied berth, which proves that the construction of the new East quay was worthwhile. Since the official opening of the East quay in July the results of growth of the Breakbulk market in the Port of Rotterdam was certainly noticeable at the two Rhenus terminals in Rotterdam. Rhenus Waalhaven Terminal, an excellent lay-by location On this picture you see the Heavy lift carrier MV Teal and its sister vessel MV Swift of Dockwise/Boskalis. The “Teal” and the “Swift” each have an overall length of 180 meters. With it’s 900 meters long quay wall and a max. draft of 10,50 meters, the Waalhaven terminal has provided an excellent location for a lay-by of these 2 vessels at the same time. Rhenus increases steel volumes by about 25% in 2017 M/V Callisto, moored at the Rhenus Waalhaven terminal. She is carrying some 20.000 MT of steel reinforcing bars. Noticing the increase of steel products arriving in the Port of Rotterdam for European use, normally shows the economic upwards development. At both Rhenus terminals, in the Waalhaven and at the Maasvlakte area, the increase of handling steel cargo flows is considerable, just like the overall volumes. "Not what we call daily operations" Here you see the impressive view of the floating sheerleg, the Asian Hercules III (AH III), carried by MV Dockwise Target into the Port of Rotterdam. MV Target, a submersible heavy load carrier, offloaded AH III at the Maasvlakte II area needing sufficient water depth. The AH III was transported with tugs to the Rhenus Waalhaven Terminal. In the Waalhaven AH III will be demobilized and installed for her next job overseas. Please see the beautiful pictures that were taken at the Rhenus terminals at the Maasvlakte & Waalhaven areas. Rhenus by evening Today we share with you a beautiful picture taken at our Rhenus Deep Sea Terminal (RDST)in the late evening hours. Here you see one of our 100 tons mobile cranes, loading containers on deck of the MV India, sailing for Nirint Shipping. The RDST is a fully equipped terminal for all types of cargo. Picture of the day @ Rhenus Deep Sea Terminal, Maasvlakte Rotterdam Last month we have 3 windmill projects at the Rhenus Deep Sea Terminal, Maasvlakte. Attached picture shows a shipment with final destination Turkey, the second project is destined for Italy and the 3rd project will be shipped to Russia. The shipments will be handled via our new East quay and with our new 125 tons harbor mobile crane. Also you can see the grout operations via silo for the Beatrice wind farm project of Seaway Heavy Lifting. The Petrojarl I is a Ship Shape FPSO that was prepared for sea towage by the ALP ACE of Rotterdam based ALP Maritime at our Rhenus Deep Sea Terminal after leaving the Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam Yard. Our 800 meter quay at the Maasvlakte, right at the entrance of the North Sea is perfectly situated and equipped to assist with preparatory works mobs and demobs for offshore vessels such as FPSO's, PSV's, Work ships and Heavy Lift vessels.
