Alderhandt Pelargoniums and other plants.
Description
Hobby collectie van Pelargoniums ( ruim 500 soorten ), en bijzondere kuip en tuinplanten, zowel winterharde als niet winterharde, o.a. Agapanthus, Salvia´s. De kwekerij is een uit de hand gelopen hobby en geeft me een zinvolle vrijetijdsbesteding die me afleiding geeft en ritme. Maar ook sociale contacten en vriendschappen. Van jongs af aan heb ik wat met planten gehad en op dit moment concentreerd zich dat vooral op Pelargoniums, met name species, geurende, zonale en peltatums. Waarbij mijn bijzondere belangstelling gaat naar stellars en miniaturen. Daarnaast andere ( vaak Afrikaanse ) planten als Agapanthus, Rhodohypoxis, Crinum, Comosum, Salvia, Oxalis en Hosta.
Ook van de Hosta juist weer de grootste belangstelling voor de kleinste varianten.
Voor het in stand houden van de collectie verkoop ik planten op beurzen en markten, maar ik vind het ook erg leuk om te ruilen !

Hosta “Hydon Sunset”, one of my favorit miniature Hosta’s. This one is in a 15 cm pot with 1-2 millimeter gravel on top of the normal potting soil.
Building the new fence and gate at the side of my home. So Nobody is able to enter my garden / nurserie without permession.
Today has been a very nice day. A friend came to visit me with some presents : hardy shade loving plants !! So nice to have some variation in the Hosta corner, different leaves and flowers.
The miniature Hosta are growing fast the last warm days. I have some surplus from mini and small Hosta and wil have a list of them in one or two days. The surplus are for sale, but I also like an exchange with cultivars I do not have.
New in my collection : Polygonatum odoratum pluriformum “chollipo”.
De morgen is weer van start. Wat moeite met opstaan, maar inmiddels is de auto leeg, heb ik een rondje langs mijn dieren gemaakt, kop thee gezet, de kassen bekeken en zit ik nu lekker buiten te genieten. Na de koffie mijn planten ophalen in Hummelo. En het grote werk : ze weer op hun plekken terug zetten.

Paar plaatjes van de “Groene Passie Beurs” voor de mensen die niet geweest zijn. Erg gezellig en schitterend weer tot het eind aan toe.
They looked awfull. My collection Salvia x microphylla hybrids spend the winter outside and at the end we had 2 weeks with frost up to -10 Celsius every night. No protection, No Snow to cover them. Just in there containers in the chilly wind. And look ! Up to 90% is growing again !! And the other 10% is selection. I think They are pretty hardy.
The sisters next to each other. Both cuttings from the same motherplant. The lighter one is Pelargonium “Tattoo”, de pink one is a sport I found 4 years ago. I named the sport “Dark Tattoo”.
