Orange Knowledge Programme from NUFFIC

Aeres is working in several platforms of Knowledge & Research institutions and private sector to execute international projects related to “green education” with subsidies from various funding organisations. One of them is the Orange Knowledge Programme from NUFFIC. The Orange Knowledge Program (OKP) of NUFFIC wants to contribute to the sustainable and inclusive development of a society by offering professionals and organizations access to education and training. OKP offers financing for individual scholarships for professionals, group training - Tailor-Made Training known as TMTs - and alumni activities. There are currently 9 TMTs in progress. Launch of the Kukua na Kuku Impact Cluster in Tanzania

From the 5th to the 9th of May 2019 the members of the Kukua na Kuku Cluster travelled to Moshi, Tanzania, to officially launch their cluster. The launch took place on Tuesday the 7th of May and compromised a morning programme to which officials from both the Tanzanian and the Dutch government were invited, as well as other partners or local stakeholders. Proud of our European Food Business students! This time Juriaan (fourth year student) won an amazing price and tells us about this experiance: Juriaan: After two weeks of hard work, meeting wonderful people and companies, we won four innovation vouchers worth € 10.000,- and a partnership with Cargill. A great boost for bio-based innovations Outlandersmaterials with more possibilities to make the world a more circular place. We are proud! Three European Food Business students did their essay pitch at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. After the pitches the jury had to decide who the winners are for the 4 categories: Sustainable protein transition Sustainable crop protection Sustainable cattle management New business models for sustainable Agriculture. 2nd year European Food Business (EFB) student Paulina won the category Sustainable protein transition and won €750,- for her essay! 3rd year EFB student Fiona came first (€750,-) in the category New Business Models, leaving her classmates Moritz in the second (€250,-) place! Essays of all shortlisted participants are now published in a book and you read them all! Amongst them, an International Food Business student, a Dutch student from Aeres UAS Dronten and many writers from Aeres MBO (seconday vocational education)
