Welcome to the official Facebook Page of the Philippines - Luxembourg Society.                                               The Philippines - Luxembourg Society was created in 1986 by a group of Filipino and Luxembourg citizens. Its main objective is to help educate underprivileged children in the Philippines. We believe that by granting a scholarship, the help we give extends further, beyond the child’s family, to the society they live in.

Education is essential to economic development, especially for the poor in the Philippines. Citizens who can read, write, calculate, and think critically have better economic opportunities, higher productivity, healthier children, and can better assert their rights. Education empowers the mind to achieve its full potential, which as a consequence results in a better quality of life.

Knowledge is an extremely powerful tool. Armed with knowledge, we perform better, can solve problems, make wiser decisions and generally improve life - both our own and that of those around us.

Other projects that the Philippines - Luxembourg Society has completed are the improvement of sanitary facilities in schools and hospitals, the creation of school libraries, and giving aid to victims of natural disasters.
