The new city outside the city
Luxembourg is reinventing itself through the emergence of the new city: BELVAL.
Through its various districts, Belval will accommodate more than 5,000 inhabitants and more than 20,000 occupants or daily users.
The new urban ensemble is developed on an area of more than 1.3 million sqm spread on 69 buildable hectares. A significant proportion (1/3 of the surfaces) is dedicated to green spaces and squares.
Between industry and financial marketplace, the country is also developing as a research centre focused on the future. Belval, this ambitious vision, has become reality. Nearly 10,000 students, teachers and more than 1,000 employees of the research centres will work together here, in close relationship with the private sector, creating thus a unique potential.
