Improve Your Chances to Study in an American University - FREE University Prep. Program provided by A.U.K-USAID Transformational Leadership Immersion Program and Public Service Course (hereinafter also “the Project”) is part of the Transformational Leadership Initiative. The purpose of the Transformational Leadership Initiative is to develop a cadre of leaders to drive significant change in Kosovo in priority economic, political, and social development areas. This is to be accomplished through a five-year Cooperative Agreement that will facilitate higher education scholarships, professional certifications, internships, exchanges and partnerships between Kosovo and American universities.
The Project will work with TL Scholarship and Partnership Program, University of Prishtina, government entities including Ministry of Communities and Return (Office for Community Affairs), and potential candidates including candidates coming from marginalized groups (women, people with disability, rural, minority, LGBT community).
To support this initiative, the project will offer Transformational Leadership (hereinafter also “TL”) Immersion Program and Public Service Course. The TL Immersion Program (hereinafter also “AUPP”) is designed to enhance existing human capital and talent. Participants attending immersion program, who may not have had access to strong undergraduate programs, have the opportunity to meet their full potential and participate fully in educational opportunities. It will provide increased academic and economic opportunities for qualified and approved citizens of Kosovo who plan to attend universities in the United States, and to prepare them for the successful completion of their US studies. Over a five-year period A.U.K. will provide the TL Immersion Program to 1,150 participants.
