【A work shop on Basic Life Support for Medical Student/ 医療系学生へ救命講習会を開催 】（日本文は下にあります） On March 21st, SBSI held a work shop on Basic Life Support (BLS) for medical students at CENAT with cooperation from the Sunrise Japan Hospital Phnom Penh (Open in July this year), which sent the director Dr. Hayashi as a lecturer and other staff to help. Over 30 students (most of them were from a national medical university, UHS), attended. They listened to the lecture eagerly and practiced CPR and operation of AED. They were very happy to have such an opportunity and requested more workshops on the first aid. Mr. Kota Hata, who is a doctor and an author of “But, we wanna build a school in Cambodia” joined as a volunteer too. 3月21日、SBSIは、医療系学生向けの救命講習会を実施しました。今回は、カンボジア国立結核センターで、サンライズ・ジャパン・ホスピタル（今年開院予定）のご協力です。講師は同病院の林院長先生、それに康由梨看護師その他のスタッフが指導を手伝いました。 ワークショップには、30名を超える国立医科大学生を中心とした医学生が参加。林先生のレクチャーでは、熱心にノートを取り、AED使用訓練も含めて初めての蘇生法訓練に精を出していました。この講習会には、カンボジア訪問中の「僕たちは世界を変えることができない」の原作者で医師の葉田公太さんも参加されました。 他に、機材や場所の協力は、AEDサポートセンター、MTIと日本結核予防協会（JATA）です。SBSI のカンボジアでの救命支援活動へのご協力を皆様に感謝致します。 ＃Cambodia

（日本語は英語の下です）Koji Sasaki, a president of Side by Side International (SBSI HQ in Japan) who is visiting Nepal, and Bhuban Akhikari, a director ofSBSI Nepal Office, had a meeting with Mr. and other business Nirvana Chaudharyand social leaders about reconstructing quake-hit areas in Nepal. ”Chaudhary Foundation till today over the last 1 year has built about 3000 transitional homes, 50 schools, vocational training programs, food and medical aid directly helping 30,000 people, scholarship funds as well as supported the PM Relief Fund. （From Mr. Chaudhary's Facebook)　However there are many areas, esp. mountain areas where reconstructing work hasn't done much progress. SBSI with other Japanese organizations donated a school and SBSI is planing to continue to support the reconstruction project as well as Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in this country. ネパール訪問中のサイド・バイ・サイド・インターナショナル（SBSI)理事長の佐々木浩二は、カドマンズで、ニルバナ・チャウダリー氏などの有力者と、ネパールの地震復興支援事業について協議しました。「チャウダリー財団は、この1年間に仮設住宅3千戸、学校50校、職業訓練プログラム、食料・医療支援を通して直接3万人を助け、奨学金やネパール首相の災害復興支援基金を支援してきた。」同氏のフェイスブックより。しかし、特に山岳地帯など、復興が進まない地域も多く、SBSIは最近の学校建設をはじめ、救急医療事業においても協力を予定しています。

(English is under the Japanese text.)日本から救急医の河崎一生先生（と奥様の貴子さん（看護師））がカンボジアを訪問され、5月3日から5日までプノンペンの憲兵隊本部とカルメット病院、クメールソビエト友好病院にて、救急医療者向けの講習会を実施されました。カンボジアの異常な暑さと、一時体調不良になられたにもかかわらず、素晴らしい講習会をして下さったご夫妻に心より御礼申し上げます。Dr. Kazuki Kawasaki and his beautiful wife Takako (Nurse) came to Cambodia and gave wonderful workshops on emergency medicine at Phnom Penh Gendarmerie(MP Headquarter), Calmette Hospital and Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital from May 3 to May 5th, in spite of the extreme hot weather and some health problems they had here. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to them.

2016-03-08 Khmer exercise w/ Watty in Rumdual Island

（日本語は下にあります） On March 8th, Social Compass came to the Rumdual Island (=Koh Kor) to teach fund Khmer Excise. This event was supported by Graphis' young members from Japan. Thank you, everyone, for bringing lots of smiles. It is very important for children’s health that children know how to use their muscle and do exercise. They learned it in a fun way with Watty, the cartoon character who inspires children in Cambodia. Side by Side Cambodia (SBSC) is a local NGO that SBSI helped setting up in 2006 and has stayed as its partner. On the island SBSC built and operates a school for pre-schoolers, as well as supporting many families living in poverty. 3月8日、Social Compass がルムドア島（＝コー島）に来てクメール体操を教えて下さり、子どもたちはとても喜んでいました。この企画は、日本から来た学生団体GRAPHISの支援により実現しました。皆さん、ありがとうございました。 正しい身体の動かし方を知り、体操を行うことは、子どもたちの健康にとって大切なことです。クメール体操のゆるきゃら、ワッティーと一緒に体操することで、楽しく学べました。 Side by Side Cambodia(SBSC)は現地NGOで、2006年にSBSIの支援を受けて設立されました。以来、SBSIのパートナーです。ルムドア島では、10年以上も前から、幼年学校を設立し運営すると共に、多くの貧困家庭支援をしています。
