The Espresso Italiano Sensation... Attibassi is a traditional brand from Bologna, Italy, much appreciated for the genuine quality of its products. It began life as an artisan pasticceria in 1918, through the passion and commitment of two confectioners: Mr Agostino Atti and Mr. Marco Bassi. In the atmosphere of Bologna, famous for good cuisine, Attibassi products grew and attracted the attention of refined palates. Today, as then, with the added refinement of modern techniques, the company continues to express the “artisan” passion for its traditional Italian products.
Coffee has a fascinating history bringing with it the magic of distant lands and cultures. The beans of these precious plants reached Europe thanks to explorer, adventurers and traders who followed the routes of the ships. We are above all indebted to them for that intense pleasure we feel every time we enjoy a good coffee or savour the deliciousness of chocolate.

Espresso today most successfully represents Italy abroad but, unfortunately, too often the name is used to describe products that do not respect tradition and do not meet the standards expected by the consumer.
A good blend is the result of a knowledgeable combination of Arabica and Robusta varieties: the first gives flavour and smell, while the latter gives density and "body". The roasting process then brings out the natural characteristics of each variety. Even the grinding method plays an important role in the preparation of a perfect cup of coffee, whether made in a bar or at home. The machine used and the skill of the bar staff complete the "magic formula" needed for an excellent espresso.
