A very proud night for St Olaves at the Isle of Man snooker presentation and finals night. An all St Olaves final in IOM championships. John Kennish took the honours over Sean Corkish. St Olaves New Skool winning the league and St Olaves Old Skool coming second. There were to many other awards to mention, but all photos show the successful year the St Olaves snooker club lads have had. Fantastic effort from everyone. Bring on next year.
St Olaves New Skool won the Wakefield Cup last night. Great achievement for Paul, Sean Benito, Mark and James. Well done lads.

Sad News (message copied from John's post on IOM snooker page) It is with deep sadness and an unbelievably heavy heart that I have to let everyone involved in Isle of Man snooker know that my brother Willie (as he is referred to only in the snooker world) passed away this morning. Will was 50 years old. Undoubtedly Will's greatest success was becoming island champion in 1996 and 1997. No doubt he would have been island champion a lot more times had he not had a lengthy break from snooker thereafter. Will played for various clubs/teams over the years including Victoria SC, Douglas SC and the Manx Auto Club but he will always be more closely associated to St Olaves who he also represented in the league and where he learnt to play the game. It's fitting he was part of a St Olaves team in what is now his final season. I cannot even begin to estimate how many league titles, pairs and threesome trophies he was won over the years. I have picked more century breaks out for him than I can remember. Will also represented the Isle of Man on many occasions including at the world amateur championships in New Zealand and Zimbabwe. He was, is and always will be my snooker hero. I would respectively ask that teams observe a minutes silence before tonight's league matches. I will try to post details of the funeral service when confirmed. John Kennish
The code for the club door is changing this week. Only paid up members are allowed to have the new code. Only paid up members are allowed to play on the club tables, this includes league snooker games. No exceptions. Paid up members are not to give the code to non members, or to allow them to play on the tables.
Entries for the Doug Kinrade and Island championships close this Sunday. I am going up on Sunday afternoon to put my entry fee in for both. If someone wants me to hand their entry in while I am there you need to contact me to give me the money. Check IOM snooker fb page to make sure you are free on the semi and finals dates before entry as these dates cannot be moved. Paul. I will be in club tonight. My telephone number is also on the board.
St Olaves started the new snooker season last night with a tidy 5 nil win. Started by an epic win by Chris Walsh smashing in a great pink and difficult black to take his win.
