facebook.comTriumph Bonneville street scrambler engine casings. I've done a few of these and they come up to a really nice soft shine.
Yamaha R6 swingarm that had been grit blasted then used for a couple of years so it was looking pretty dull. The owner didn't want a full on show polish because it's for a race bike but it's still nice and shiny.
Giving your bike a refresh for Spring and need some polishing? Here's a set of Triumph yokes recently done- came up nicely.
Turns out Suzuki TL1000S exhausts are actually stainless steel under the black paint. The owner asked for just the front downpipe polishing and seemed well pleased with the result.
Just polished this brass fire front for a friend- I can't imagine what's been burnt in it but it was a real mess. Still, it turned out nice :)
Some KTM supermoto parts recently polished. The fuel tank was a straightforward polishing job but the yokes needed the anodised finish removed and the swingarm was sand cast so had to be sanded down prior to polishing.
Lovely old boat's compass binnacle polished yesterday- the box on the side is where the oil lamp lives, complete with a little chimney with a flip up lid on the top. Absolutely top class quality piece.
I haven't posted for a long time but winter is coming so maybe it's time for a bit of tlc for your pride and joy? A set of tired Triumph 900 triple engine cases I polished a couple of days ago.
Forks, yokes and speedo drive done for a little Suzuki custom bike. Fork legs were painted sand cast items so they were smoothed on a flap wheel before polishing. The bottom yoke is steel so it was grit blasted to remove paint and rust then given a couple of coats of zinc rich primer. I made a shroud on my lathe to protect the bottom bearing during the process as it couldn't be removed
Quick little job putting a shine on a pair of Yamaha TDM850 pillion footrest mountings. Not a show finish, just for everyday use.
Did a pair of these BMW GS1200 spoked wheels recently. The owner stripped the original anodised finish with caustic soda solution (he's a braver man than me) and I did the shiny bit. The fiddliest wheels I've ever done but they came up nicely. For some reason, I forgot to take pictures of the front wheel and before polishing- must be getting old :)
