My name is Maria, and I'm mum to 2 gorgeous little girls, wife to a golf mad husband, and I now feel like the time has come to take on something new and exciting... This is it!
I've always been interested in crafting, art, colour, and design, which lead me to study Interior Design for 3 years. The drawings, and measuring, and planning on paper weren't what got me excited though; it was getting stuck in, and creating something physically that I really loved... The freedom to make things up as I went along!
For me, sewing gave me all that freedom to create. My nan taught me to hand stitch at an early age, and she also taught me how to use her old peddle singer sewing machine on which I made dresses for my dolls out of her leftover fabric. I have always had a huge interest in sewing which I'm sure was all inspired by her. At 94 she still amazes and inspires me to this day!
Why am I telling you all this? I want you to know that every item that I make is make with buckets of love, care and attention. I love the feeling of finishing a project, and the nervous wait to see if someone else likes it as much as I do!
I want you to know the person behind the keyboard, and know that each any every order I get means so much to me. It means that I can be here every day for my girls, and at the same time I can do something for me. If I can manage to successfully do both then I'll be delighted! So here goes....!
