Bringing all artists groups, individuals, students and established artists together as a collective to build the art community within the Viking Triangle. Be part of a spectacular open air art exhibition!
Calling all artists to get involved in colouring the city streets during the summer months by joining Art On The Railings. Put simply, we’re looking for artists to hang their artwork from as many spaces as possible in the Viking Triangle and surrounding areas on four Saturdays over the summer months from 11am to 4pm!
The plan is to bring all artists groups, collectives, individuals, students and established artists together to add to the vibrancy to the city by exhibiting as one giant collective on one Saturday each month from June to September. There is no charge for artists to be involved other than an opportunity to network with your peers while selling some work, and a small commission from sales of artwork that will go toward costs of staging Art On The Railings. Be part of a stunning outdoor exhibition by brightening up the city as fresh-air alternative to a conventional art gallery.
The first dates confirmed are Saturday 21 June during the Wikid Waterford and Saturday 5 July during Daytripper. Art On The Railings is a joint collaboration between Destination Waterford City Tourism, Waterford City Arts office and The Waterford Viking Triangle Trust.
Artists of all levels are invited to take part and spaces will be reserved on a first come first served basis. The organisers will accommodate as many mediums as possible so if you can find a way to hang your work we want you to be part of the gathering.
