Happy St.Patricks day from us all @ Mischief Makers Preschool. This week was a busy one as we prepared to celebrate the festival! In Steiner kindergartens and preschools, like ours, festivals are a very important part of the curriculum. They are a complete artistic experience and appeal to all the senses. Festivals and celebrations mark the passing of time and including & celebrating with the children helps to establish continuity, rhythm, repetition and reverence, which gives form and structure to their lives, and ours as adults too. As you know then the children build on their knowledge & understanding of the world around them and their perception of it. For our festival preparations, We talked about Ireland and where we live, the colours of our flag and painted the colours of green, white and gold (orange). We decorated our classroom too and Fergus O’Flaherty was the star of the show! ⭐️ We planned what we would eat for our celebration meal and the music we would use. We introduced some new Irish words into our days and songs into our circle time. On Friday we wore something with the colours of our flag, and we topped the day off with a Ceili 🎻💃🏻🍀💕 I wore my beautiful curly Irish wig....but the children thought maybe I looked like a clown 🙈🤡so I may have to rethink my style!! 🤣 Have a wonderful weekend and see you again next week when we will be celebrating Easter 🐥🐣🐰

A challenging few days with the snow! We thought we may be trapped but Sadie’s Dad Was our superhero and got us out!! Here is a pic of him driving towards our house...!! The excitement was unbelievable!! 🙈🤣

Celebrating Mother’s Day this week with brown paper packages tied up With string....these are a few of our favorite things! 😘 We made a photo frame with stars because they are stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we also made organic and vegan foot scrub for our Mamas tootsies and wrote them a love letter! 😍 We put in a tea bag especially for strong amazing women! ☕️ ❤️To Louise, Aoife, Amy, Vanessa, Fiona, Sarah, Natasha, Mairead, Breffni, Jackie & Denise ❤️ You are truly amazing Mammies and you are so loved! ❤️
