Kidz Inc. is a purpose built Creche and Montessori caring for children aged from 3 months to 7 years old. Open 7.45am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks, full-time, morning, afternoon and part-time childcare spaces are available to accommodate working parents. Our rooms care for Babies 3–12 months, Tweenies 1–2 years, Toddlers 2–3 years and Montessori. Staff/child ratios set by the HSE are complied with and Kidz Inc. offer a 1:5 ratio for Toddlers, instead of 1:6.
Kidz Inc. was set up by Eimear Keating in 2005. Eimear is qualified in Childcare, Montessori Teaching, Creche Management and tutored adults part time in Childcare. Prior to working in Waterford, Eimear worked in and managed crèches in Dublin. She decided to open a purpose built crèche that is homely and small for the benefit of young children, where it is more personal for all involved. Staff, children and parents all know each other individually. Children with siblings are free to interact with them during the day. Eimear tries to accommodate and cater for parents who work full and part time. Her aim is to encourage recognition and acceptance for all children.

All staff are qualified, garda vetted and have references on file. Our most recent member of staff joined our team two years ago while the others are over five years with us. Staff recently completed the Birth to Toddler Quality Project which looks at room layout for the benefit of the children in their respective rooms. Staff are currently training in Aistear, which focuses on curriculum development and providing challenging, positive and enjoyable experiences for children.

Provide Free Pre School to all children age qualifying, for the designated 3 hours per day. Full and part time children using the scheme get the amount deducted from their weekly fees for 38 weeks. Cets spaces are available for VEC/FAS course participants who qualify.
A typical day consists of the following healthy, nutritious meals being provided:
Breakfast.
Mid-morning fruit snack.
Freshly prepared hot dinner.
Afternoon Tea.
Children who sleep are supervised in the designated sleep room with recorded checks.
Inside, all rooms have a daily routine and activities are child led. The layout of the rooms include defined areas for the children including a home corner, construction area, music, heuristic play, quiet area. Activities during the day include  painting using hands/straws/potatoes/sponges, colouring, dress up, role play, books, jig-saws, puzzles, songs, stories, bricks, animals, pegs, beads, play-dough, wooden toys, music, dance and many more.
Toys and equipment are all at child level with children’s artwork, family pictures and projects displayed on the walls. Language and literature are encouraged with descriptive words on display beside the equipment for the children to see.Soft furnishing, mats and drapes give a warm and homely feel to the rooms.
Outdoors, there is a large area with grass, soft mats and a concrete area for using cars, bikes etc. There is a purpose built play house and sheltered area for all children to play in when the weather is wet. A secure area is available for Babies who have not started walking. Activities include swings, slide, playhouse, sand/water pits, gym mats, Buntus exercises and games, sports such as tennis, soccer, basketball and jogging.
