Chess.com modernised chess last week. They announced a new online and international chess league that will take place every Wednesday, starting today, at 4pm GMT. The time control is 15 minutes each. Participating are 48 teams from all over the world, each one representing a city or country. Included are 5 of the top 7 players such as World Champion Magnus Carlsen, #2 Fabiano Caruana, #4 Wesley So, #5 Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and #7 Hikaru Nakamura Representing Ireland are the Dublin Desperados, consisting of the recent Kilkenny 40th Annual congress winner GM Sébastien Mazé as well as IM Sam Collins, IM Alex Lopez, FM Stephen Jessel, FM Conor O'Donnell, Killian Delaney, Carl Jackson, Henry Li and Eoghan Casey.
