Annual Ventry Regatta, Regatta bliaintiúil i bhFionn Trá Regatta Fionn Trá is the annual regatta which takes place in Ventry on the Dingle Peninsula in the Southwest of Ireland.  It is a community festival which takes place on the 20th and 21st of July 2013 and annually on the third weekend in July.  One of the main activities of the regatta is naomhóg racing, i.e. the racing of traditional canvas and tar boats which takes place in Ventry Bay, other activities include Sports, horseshoe throwing, poetry, a longest kick competition, the festival runs over two days on Saturday and Sunday. In 2013 Ventry will host an International Horshoe Throwing Competition on Sunday 21st of July.
