Congrats to Elia Viviani in the omnium event in the Rio Olympics. Evidently the work he put in this summer at Sundrive Velodrome has paid off. It was fun, fun, fun while we were racing. It was fun, fun, fun while it lasted. But it never could last forever. We're home now. Back West. Maybe we could nick the railway lobby's monicker because we certainly are not on track way out here in the sticks.

We stayed up late to watch the action. His Wiggness blitzed it, the Brits owned it and really - how exciting was the men's team sprint final??? Ireland has an interest tomorrow night, when cycling's newest golden girl continues with her chase of some random punter called Ciaran.

Who's going up this weekend?? Should be a doozie!! Elia Viviani of Team Sky lit up the indoor worlds earlier this year, was consistently aggressive in the final of the Madison. He'll be there. Will you??

This is something we NEED to go see happen. There'll probably be a glut of World Champions there, too, like last year. Anyone who thought (even fleetingly) of flying to the UK to watch Sir Wiggo's World Hour Record should ask serious questions of themselves if they don't rock out to this event.
